Point Break Management Group was started and built by Joseph Citera in the infamous year of 2020. After studying International Business Economics at the the College of Wooster for two years, Joseph decided to carve his own path, rather than entering the traditional workforce.
The town of Londonderry, VT, where Joseph spent the majority of his childhood, is a small ski town with a population of about 2,500. The majority of the residents are employees or owners of small businesses such as restaurants, landscaping companies, cleaning companies, and retail shops, to name a few. Most of these businesses rely on tourism to survive. Some are even forced to close down in the slower months because they are unable to keep up with their variable costs.
Large companies such as Vacasa and Evolve started reaping the benefits of the post Covid boom that the short rental markets saw after restrictions were lifted. Setting market prices low to gain the highest occupancy, coercing independent investors lower their prices. Local caretakers, cleaners, and landscapers were not gaining much business due to the lack of exposure to outside investors that purchased these vacation rental properties.
The purpose of Point Break is to bridge the gap and give back to the local community. Offering an extensive caretaking, maintenance, and cleaning services to employ local workers and businesses while also providing the most extensive management service available for short term rentals.
